I left the hotel around 9:00 on July 11. A full breakfast was included with croissants, breads, cheese, meats, yoghurt, and cereal…all breakfasts were complimentary throughout the week. I had to prepare for my first Swiss pass, the Klausen Pass at 1952m. I had no idea what to expect as I had never climbed a pass before but I knew if I kept a steady pace and enjoyed the ride everything would be great!

Cycling Switzerland: My first solo journey

In July 2011, I embarked on my first solo cycling journey in Switzerland. It only took two weeks to organize and it was one of the best trips of my life (so far!). A company called SwissTrails made it possible. I knew I wanted to cycle in Switzerland so my search was easy. I found SwissTrails by doing an Internet search, immediately contacted them and within a couple of days my cycling trip was booked!
